How true.. wonderfully said.

I haven�t been to a bar in a year. I mean I�ve gone to places to pick up drinks and food to support my local businesses every chance I could over the course of this great pause, but I haven�t (like most of us) been able to saddle up to that most sacred of gathering spots and hear the bartender say �what�ll you have.� The night before last i had to do press for our spirits company so I went to one of my favorite bars in the world...MY bar... the long familiar piece of honed marble at our tasting room for @mulhollanddistilling It had been a year since I crossed that threshold. My partner has used it from time to time and a couple of associates to conduct our business but I didn�t go. It brought tears to my eyes... walking in, thinking about all the memories forged in this place. Pulling that bar stool back... looking at the chairs on either side... I closed my eyes and imagined the days of waiting on a friend, or hoping to rub elbows with a stranger that would become a new friend. I sat there and thought about how many conversations over the last 365 days, all over the world that didn�t transpire in these temples of sharing. I laid both palms on the counter and contemplated how humbled I was for all the times and how grateful I am for all the times to come. Then the great @cococoleeen stepped up and said, �what�ll you have?� We will once again gather without barriers. Hope you have the best weekend.
