Summary

Scott Lang, also known as Ant-Man has already earned the right to be in the Avengers team, but the desire to be closer to his own daughter keeps him in his native San Francisco — until Dr. Hank Pym, who once created “a wonder suit” that changes the size of its owner, calls Scott to join a new, dangerous mission. To help in the confrontation with the insidious enemy of the Ant-Man will be a new partner — the Wasp.

The plot

In 1987, Janet van Dyne shrinks between molecules to stop a Soviet rocket but it falls into the Quantum Realm. Hank Pym raises his daughter, Hope, believing that Janet is dead.

Years later, a former thief Scott Lang in Ant-Man costume finds a way to get in and out of the Quantum Realm. Then Hank Pym and Hope decide to create a technology that allows you to travel through quantum reality; they believe they can find Janet alive. Scott and Hope train to work as a team, like Ant and Wasp; at the same time, a romantic relationship is established between them. But then Lang secretly from all joined Captain America during the conflict between the Avengers. And subsequently, because of a violation of the Zacovian Treaty, Scott is placed under house arrest, and Pim and Hope go underground and break off communication with him.

Two years later, Hope and Hank were able to make a tunnel into the quantum dimension. Lang receives a message from Janet, who is quantum-linked to him. Despite the fact that there are a few days left when he is released from house arrest, he calls Hank Pym and tells him a dream. After Scott is put to sleep by ants, Hope takes him out of the house and puts a sensor on a huge ant so as not to arouse suspicion from FBI agent Jimmy Wu. After learning that Scott's dream was a message from Janet, they began working on a quantum tunnel to free Janet.

Hope comes to Sunny Birch to buy the remaining parts for collecting the quantum tunnel, but Birch recognizes the true nature of Hope and that she works for Hank Pym and decides to keep them for great benefit. Hope puts on the Wasp costume, defeats the Birchat people and picks up the details, but the Ghost attacks her. Lang comes to the rescue, but she manages to take both the parts and Pym 's laboratory.

Pim reluctantly requested the help of Bill Foster, who helps Hank, Hope, and Scott. Lang, Hope, and Pym tried to steal the laboratory, but the Phantom notices them and deafens everyone, later introducing to them as Ava Starr. Her parents, Elikhaz and Katherine Starr are dying from the explosion, but Ava has the gift of intangibility. Foster saw the girl and began to raise her. Ava wants to find Janet so that she can give her the energy that can heal Ava. Hank refuses, as he thought it would kill Janet, and the trio was able to escape, taking the laboratory. Hank refuses, as he thought it would kill Janet, and the trio was able to escape, taking the laboratory.

By opening the stable version of the tunnel this time, Janet was able to contact Hank and Hope via Scott and said that they only have two hours to let her free, or she won’t be able to be free. Later, Sonny Burch finds the place of business partners Lang, Louis, Dave, and Kurt and begins to torture and injected them with serum, which brings any person to clean water. The Ghost arrives at headquarters and learns from Luis the location of Lang, Pym, and Hope. After that, Louis tells Scott that the Ghost is on its way and that the FBI is already on their way to his house. Scott leaves the lab and returns home, while Hank and Hope are arrested by the FBI.

Soon, Hank and Hope help Scott to get free and are going to pick up Burch’s laboratory. Ava eventually takes the laboratory and enlarges it. Hank goes to the laboratory and goes to the quantum dimension to find Janet, but Ava comes to the laboratory and begins to take energy from Janet. Scott and Hope with Louis managed to defeat Burch's men and then went to the laboratory to stop Ava, and they succeed. Janet and Hank come from the quantum dimension, and Janet cures Ava of intangibility. Lang returns home, and Jimmy Wu releases him from house arrest. Ava and Bill Foster are hiding, and Lang, Hank, Hope, and Janet plan to collect quantum energy to continue to help Ava.

In the first scene after the credits, Scott goes to the quantum dimension and collects energy for Ava, so that she could later completely recover; at the same time, Hank, Hope, and Janet control the process and keep in touch with Lang. But when Hope begins the countdown before Scott returns from quantum reality, the connection abruptly breaks. At first, Scott thinks this is a joke. But at the same second, Hank, Janet, and Hope turn to dust after the battle for Wakanda, when Mad Titan Thanos was able to collect all the infinity stones and snap his fingers, killing half of the universe. At the same time, Scott is stuck in quantum reality.
