Walton Goggins Before and after Tarantino!
In 2015, "Justified" ended, but Goggins did not leave without work on TV. He was offered to move to another channel, HBO, to play in the black comedy "Vice Principals". The TV project tells about two Vice Principals who are very different but are trying to achieve the common goal of forcing out the new school principal so one of them can be on top. The series was aired for two seasons, and Goggins again received well-deserved compliments - this time for playing the manipulator Lee Russell.
Several successful TV roles and an Emmy nomination did not make Walton Goggins a star. For those who missed FX products, he was familiar with rare roles in a big movie, “that guy from Shanghai Noon and Cowboys & Aliens”. The success came unexpectedly! First, Walton Goggins got a cameo role in the film "Django Unchained", and then Quentin Tarantino invited the actor to the chamber "The Hateful Eight" - to share the film set with such stars as Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Tim Roth, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Bruce Dern. The role of Sheriff Chris Mannix became life-changing for Goggins.
“I look back at my career and see many turning points, but the main thing is work before and after Quentin Tarantino. I am grateful to Tarantino for seeing something in me. Helping him bring ideas to life on screen is a gift.”
